By some estimates Americans will consume 2 billion cookiesby the end of this year. Apparently, we’re all doing our share. The averageAmerican consumes 50 pounds of cookies a year and a lot of these will be consumedover the holidays.

How much added sugar is in a cookie? That all depends on the cookieof course but one little Oreo is 7 grams of added sugar. A homemade cookie cancontain twice that.
