What’s America’s Biggest Enemy?
While terrorists and tornadoes grab the headlines there is something that does more damage to our economy and well-being then anything else… added sugar and by far the biggest contributor is soda.

Naturally, soda isn’t the only culprit. In fact soda consumption has gone down in the past few years but obesity rates have gone in that same time period. Why? It might have something to do with how much sugar has been added to other foods. However, some studies suggest that the artificial sweeteners in “diet” drinks can have the same devastating effect as it tricks the brain into consuming more food, etc.

The incredible impact obesity and diabetes has on our economy can not be understated. $200 billion is spent every year on weight-loss alone. These are people paying money to lose weight not the medical expenses for the high blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. Save yourself the money and follow these basic steps.

A CNN article illuminates some new findings from a recent studie on added sugar consumption.

Sugar… it’s not as sweet as you think.
